We’ve seen Chino owners order a Premier Pro 16×20 and assume any 4-inch patio slab will carry it, but the Pro Series calls out a 6-inch slab with #4 rebar at 18 inches on center and a 12-inch-deep turned-down edge. The document either says it or it doesn’t.

Utility rough-in varies by series too. The Premier Pro includes a specified electrical chase location in the rear wall plate, pre-cut at 48 inches above finished floor. The TR-800 has no factory chase, so we core-drill on site or run surface conduit. For water and sewer, only the Premier Pro with optional finish package includes a stub-out location, and even then it’s sized for a sink, not a full bathroom. Signs Your Tuff Shed Site Prep & Utilities Is Failing

• The slab has settled or cracked at the corners. Tuff Shed’s steel plate anchors pull loose when the subgrade wasn’t compacted to 95% standard Proctor before the pour. • Breakers trip when the mini-split cycles on. The 20-amp backyard circuit was fine for a string of lights. • Water pressure drops when two fixtures run. We find 1/2-inch PEX run 80 feet from the house to a Tuff Shed converted to office use, then split again inside. That friction loss calculation never got done. The result is a shower that goes cold when the sink runs, or a toilet that takes two flushes.
• Sewer backs up after rain. The sewer lateral was tied in without proper fall, 1/4 inch per foot minimum, or the cleanout was buried below grade. Chino’s winter storms saturate the ground, and any belly in the line becomes a trap for solids.
• Conduit joints separate at the LB fitting. Expansion and contraction in Chino’s 40-degree daily temperature swings, summer to winter, work rigid PVC apart if expansion fittings weren’t installed every 25 feet. Water enters, freezes in January, and cracks the conduit. By March you’re rewiring.
